5 Things you Need to do Today for Website Marketing

Website Marketing – Top 5 Things you can do today

Market to your Market - Website Marketing

First and Foremost – Happy New Year!  We hope that 2014 proves to be a prosperous new year.  Here are 5 things that you can start doing today to increase your online presence and kick off a comprehensive website marketing campaign.

  1. Start Blogging.  If you don’t already – start blogging today.  The more the better.  Focus on the content and the message that you are putting out there.  Make sure it is relevant and reaches your target audience.
  2. Join Facebook.  Yes, we know – you are proud of your anti-social media stance, but in today’s world you need to be active on social media.  Take a minute and search for some key terms that relate to your business, see the results that are coming up.  Facebook pages, Twitter and YouTube are claiming top spots more and more often.  Don’t lose out on potential clients.
  3. Take advantage of email marketing.  Email marketing is an inexpensive way to reach a large amount of people.  Make your newsletter interesting.  Keep it relevant and always think about the people you are trying to reach.
  4. Consider speaking at seminars.  If there are regular seminars in your field, then become an expert on a topic and offer to speak.  Getting your name out there will only help your overall image and brand.  It will also help to advertise your speaking engagements on Facebook, your website and professional websites such as LinkedIn and AVVO.
  5. Keep it consistent.  Great – you took our advice and joined Facebook and Twitter, even LinkedIn – now what?  Keep it updated and make sure that your brand is consistent everywhere.  If you are the Law Office of Smith and Smith one place – do not be the Law Offices of Smith and Smith somewhere else.  Also be weary of using middle initials in your company name.  Law Office of Joe A. Smith is fine but it is not ok to then have your business advertised as Law Office of Joe Smith.  Search engines want cohesiveness.
